ARRIVAL OF THE HERO.
The powerful and favorite s.s. Hero, T. Loian, Esq., commander, arrived in harbour early tl is morning from Sydney, after another •p'endid iuu of five days, bringing the Eng« lia'i mail via Suez, a large general cargo and a number of passengers. The Hero left Sydney at miclnjaliD on the 10th inafc.; rounded the North Ciipe at noon on the 15th, and arrived in Auuk'aid harbour ut 7.30 a.m. on the 16th. On the pas-a;*e aooss, the Hero cxperiencad mxlerito southerly wind* until midnight of the 14Mi, since then, light south-east winds hnv.i pi'flfailed ; and fine weather throughout. On i he l')th at 10.3 ) a.m., passed the Wonga Wonsja i'lf Cape Maria Van Dintnan.
