MR. W. B. UPTON.
The almost sudden death, this morning, of Mr. W. B. Upton lias caused a general feeling of sorrow. The deceased geiitleman was so much esteemed and respected, from his upright character and gentlemanly demeanour in business, lhat his being cut o(F in the prime of his life, and just when realising the reward of liia enterprise, appears very sad. The senior partner in the linn of Upton Brothers, he had been about ten years in the colony, during part of which lie had been in business for himself. Tne firm had just removed into new and extensive, uid beautiful premises, and at the moment when prospects seemed brightest and most hopeful, death comes and throws a shroud over all. I fc is believed that the ex itemenfc of the removal, and the cares incident to the urrangement of more c. tended business, had overcome his strength, and produced the illncsp under which he sank. He has left a wife and young children lo mourn their sudden bereavement. The funeral will take place to-morrow, at three o'clock, when we are sure a large number of his fellowcitizens will pay the last tribute of sorrow and esteem for one who wa; so much liked.
