The inauguration of this benevolent institution for the : rescue of the young from paths of infamy and vice, took place yesterday at the scene of its future operations—the Fort Britonvirt barracks). The Bishop of Auckland occupied the chair, and addresses -were delivered by him, by Archdeacon Maunsell, Rev. Messrs. Cornford, Buller, Davies, Dean, Mr. Bo:irdn.an, and Captain lialdy detailing the objects of the instilution as not being a rival, but supplementary to the kindred institution at Painell. We heartily wish a very great success to this most estimable morement.
