Mr. Beveridge appeared for the bankrupt.
The trustee's report was read. Liabilities, £357 15s lid ; assets, £93 15s 7d ; deficiency, £264 0s 4d. The assets consist of small debts incurred by minors, and the trouble and expense that would b^ incurred in the collection would leave no funds in hand. No debts had been proved. Bankrupt was declared to have passed his last examination, and received an order for his discharge. RE HENRY CAMPBELL. Mr. Bennett appeared on behalf of the bankrupt. The trustee's report was read. Liabilities, £194 14s. ; assets (nominal), £121; deficiency, £73 14s. The assets consisted of a few small debts valued at £10, an allotment of land mortgaged to its full value,household furniture of less value than the law allows to be retained. No amount could therefore be realised ; no . debts had been proved. There was no opposition. Bankrupt passed his last examination, and received his discharge. RE B. N. JONES. Mr. James Russell appeared for the bankrupt, and applied to have the case adjourned in consequence of creditors in Christchurch not having received due notice. Adjourned to the 29th inst, RE R. J. LA NAUZH. Mr. Kissling appeared for the bankrupt.
Liabilities, £617 12s. 7d.; assets, £220 ; deficiency, £392 12s. 7d. Assets consisted of mining shares, a debt of £10 due to the l.ankrupt, and a freehold allotment at Canterbury. No debts had been proved. Bankrupt passed his last, examination, and received his discharge. RE HENRY DAVIDSON. Mr. MacCormick appeared for the bankrupt. Trustee's report read. Liabilities, £41-9 Bs. Bd. ; assets, £20 12s. lid.; deficiency, £428 15s. 9d. The only available asset was a freehold property, valued at £18. The bankrupt ascribed his bankruptcy to losses in business incurred duri:!g a severe illness. Bankrupt passed his last examination, and received his discharge. RE EDWARD PIEJILM. Mr. J. B. Russell appeared for the bankrupt. Trustee's report read. Liabilities, £,532 5s 6d ; assets, nominally, £931 2s 6,1, leaving an apparent, surplus of £1398 17s. The assets consist, of a number of book debts, valued at, £326 2s 6d ; real estate, mortgaged for £250, valued at £142 ; mining property, valued at, £463; furniture, £20. Fourteen creditors had proved to tho amount of £337 9s sd. ' Bankrupt passed his last examination, and received his discharge. RE J. D. BARNSLEY. Trustee's report read. Labilities, £325 18s; assets, £2'"- ; deficiency, £123 18s. The assets consist o( 81 acres of land at Wangarei, valued at £140; private property £5, and two debts, amounting to £77. No debts had been proved. Bankrupt passed his last examination, and received his discharge. RE CHARLES DAVIDSON. Mr. Recs appeared for the bankrupt. Trustee's report read. Liabilities, £1507, of which £402 is secured by mortgage. As-, ts, £1141 14s. 6d. ' The assets consist of the leasehold of the Grahamstown. Hotel, valued at, £600, and mortgaged Tor £402 ; book debts, £541 14s. 6d., considered almost worihless. Debts to the amount of £138 2s. Bd. have been proved. Bankrupt passed his last examination, and received his discharge. RE D. GROVE. Mr. Beveridge appeared for the bankrupt, Trust c's report read. Liabilities, £1749 fis. 6d. Assets, £944 10s. Bankrupt passed his last examination, and received his discharge.
