The little steamer Challenger, Captain Varks, came down from Ohinemuri this m'>rnin_r. Judge Monro, and several other gentlemen interested in the lands •here, lvtve returned, the Lands Court having been stopped by Mere Kuru.
Robert Barlow was brought up at the Police Court this morning, charged with stealing a quantity of specimens from the Child of Fortune. The prisoner has been remanded till Saturday next.
The Caledonia is showing splendid. About 1501bs. weight, of magnificent specimens to hand.

mens daily
It is just reported that a rich find has been made in the Long Drive. The re-
port requires confirmation
