Friday afternoon,
Messrs. C. Arthur and Son sold by auction, this morning, a quantity of plants, fruit trees, &c, at the followit g prices :—Norfolk pines, Is 3d to 2s 6d ; myrtle, 2s to 2s 8d ; calaetaresses, Is 6d to 2s ; box trees, 3s to 4s 3d ; Wellingtonias, 3s to 3s 3d ; lasonica, 2s 3d ; cypresses, Is 9d to 3s 3d ; indiarubber trees, 3s ; guavas, Is 3d ; camelias, 2s 6d ; azalias, 2s 3d lo 2s 9d ; rhododendron?, 2s 6d ; gooseberry, 3s per dozen ; assorted fruits, 9d to Is 3d each.
There was a very full attendance of the trade at the sale, to-day, of Messrs. E. and H. Isaacs, in the estate of H. G. Meyers. The goods, on an average, realised fair prices, everything offersd was disposed of. 'I he proceeds of the sale amounted to £1500 cash. The balance of wines and spirits, in the same estate, will be offered in about fourteen days.
