INTERCOLONIAL INDUS TRIAL EXHIBITION.
Intending exhibitors of horticultural and agricultural products would do well to bear in mind that the entries for those classes of exhibits will close to-day. In addition to the many pavilions that have already been erected, or commenced on the grounds, the Young Men's Christian Association have obtained permission to erect one for their own use. A very pretty design has been prepared. Most of the material for this structure has either been given or lent by various gentlemen interested in the object for which it is to be erected. . It is to contain a book-stall for the sale of ; 00k. o" a social and religious character. The I'ssociation has also been promised the use of a printing press, tvp;>, and oilier necessary material, and it is tlu intention of the members to print essays and papers on sooitil subjects, for distribution [ simongs', Ihe vislors to tho Exhibition. The Australian Paper Company ha., it i- stnted, promised to supp'y gr.itis the paper that will be required. The Exhibition building is now so far completed, that the Committee will, during the next week, allot space for t c various sections. It has already been decided that the fine art?, furniture, clothing, products of mining industry, &_, shall bo displayed in thegaleries. Tha horticultural exhibits wdl most probably occupy spaces immediately t> the north and south of tho fountain, wh'ch , stands in the centre of the building.
