BOMBAY.
July 6. The steamer John Dryden, from Bombay to London, with a cargo of cotton worth £80,000, was lost near Aden. Toe crew were saved. The ship Aurora, 1115 tons, with a M cargo of cotton and wool, for Liverpool, was burnt off Bombay. In connection with this matter a regular plot has com* to light. Two English brokers and • Parsee leagued with the captain and oaf. penter to burn the ship. Money w*< r \ised on false bills of lading for rubbish which was heavily insured, by which thl banks and underwriters would beconM heavy losers. This led to further dis-V closures of commercial morality. Tiniej{| Scott a-nd Co. advanced £18,000 to Capt. Brown, of the ship Teresa, and a Piw* on false bills of lading. Captain M»£ riett and the carpenter of the AuroM have been arraigned before the Cr__wn* Session.
