The Evening Star. TUESDAY, JULY 26, 1870.

There was an excellent house at the Theatre Royal oiuSaturday night., Tho piece de resistance Toeing " The Serf," followed by the thoroughly good burlesque " The Honeymoon," Miss Joey Gougenheira and Mr. Hayner playing exceedingly well, and were ably supported. Wc ni*e glad to see the popularity that deservedly attends this theatre under the present management ; but were sorry to sec the bad taste shown by Mr.-Towers in his local song. We are sure neither the lessee nor the amiable and popular directress can - approve of cruel personal insults to misfortune, and if Mr. Towers intends to degrade this fine little theatre from the position it has uow;tak"en, we would suggest that his employers should see to it. Playing lo the pit should be left tb elsewhere.

In another column will be ,found the proposals of Mr. Tyndall, vtho, from his dental. surgery, at the top of -Shortland Crescent, and with his •' alexddyne," 'indevt'akes to cure all the ills, that tooth

U Ve'iT, to. The very large number of c iouts whidb general conversation attributes to Mr. fyndall, is tlie best testimony to his skill to which wc could refer, in thes absence of personal experience as to bis manipulation of our molars. We understand that be ha 3 been really successful, and we know that he is popu'ar as a dentist.

We perceive by advertisement that Messrs. Barnett aud Lsvy, of the Red House, Queen-street, have been appointed sole cgents for the sale of the "Sultan's Coffee."' Report speaks very highly of this coffee, and we recommend out* numerous readers to give the house a call.

The Carandini Family gave another of their ever-popular concerts last evening, before n very good house. Madame and Mr. Winter assisted, and aided in a great measure in the success of the concert. To-morrow Madamei Carandini takes her benefit when we are sure the City Hall will be crowded.
