THE, COLLISION ON THE COAST.
LATEST PARTICULARS.
Br 'the arrival of the Samson in harbour this morning from Waugarei, all doubts as. to the name of the steamer which came into collision with the ketch Enterprise on Saturday night are set at rest; and it is evident that it was the Tauranga, bound for the Bay of Islands. Captain Mundle states that, at half-past eleven on that night, or an hour before the collision, he saw tho Tauranga near the place indicated, and, being outside the Samson, she must have been in tho course taken by the Enterprise. As the Tauranga is due tomoirjw morning we trust that-nothing very serious will be found to have occurred to l.er. It might be that the necessity for repairs may delay the Tauranga, so that her non-appearance at the appointed time need give no grounds for alarm.
