Messrs, L. D. Nathan and Co. held a sale of tobacco, &c, at their rooms, Ihis morning. There' was a fair attendance, but the bidding was not spirited. The following prices were obtained ;■ — Harmonic tobacco, 9d ; Orinico gold bars, 8d ; Billi of Virginia, 6d ; cigars (Albion), 30s j Palmers.ton, 423; T. D. and fancy cutty pipes, Is 6d to 2s 6d j plaid Testaa, 7s 2d. .
Mr. G. W. Binney sold by auction thi» morning 180 bags maize, ex Colonist, from Poverty Bay, at 5s per bushel; also, 200 hags barley, ex Dnnedin, from Oamaru, at 4« 3d to in 4d. Barley, ex Margai-et Campbell, with all faults, brought 3a 3d; wheat, 3s 9d ; flour, £11 2» 6d ; bacon, 9d to lOd ; butter, lOd.
