From Taranaki: 140 sheep, Clare ; 1 horse, Buckland ; 26 bundles, Casher; 1 case, Clarke & Co.-Combes & Daldy agents.
The s.s. Wellington lefb Wellington for Ljttelton and Dunedin on tlis sth insfc. H.M.S.S. Virago sailed from JSapier for "Wellington on the 2nd inst. The s.s. Keera left Wauganui for Napier on the 6th inst. The cutter Spey, which was driven ashore some few days ago near the Sandspit, was brought up the harbour tnis morning, having been patched up sufficiently for the purpose. Messrs. Arcbai'd and Brown have suffered a loss of £150 through this accident, as ifc will take full tiiat amount to repair her and make her sea going again. A new keel will be required, also bulwarks, and a great deal of side planking. Eugenic. — The fine schooner Eugenic, Captain Schnieder, arrived in harbour last evening, having left Tahiti on the 10th June. She experienced strong S.W. and If. winds throughout, and heavy rain, the only place called at being Aliu. Passengers —Captain Steenalt and Mrs. McKiandlas. The Eugenic brings a full cargo of cotton for Messrs. Owen sad G-raham, which will be- transhipped to England.
