ACCIDENT AT THE HAPE CREEK.

We regret to have to announce a serious accident on the Hape Creek, on Saturday, by which one valuable horse was killed, and another badly hurt. It appears that a carter named Henry Smith was employed sledging quartz, having two horses attached to the sledge. A land slip took place, and about 15 feet of the road over which the horßes were passing at the time was carried away, and the horses and sledge were precipitated down the incline. One of the horses was killed on the spot, and the other was very severely injured, and is since unable to stand, and has been placed in slings.— Advertiser.
