ACCLIMATISATION SOCIETY.
MEETING THIS DAY.
A meeting of the above sooiety was held at their offices, this morning. The following members being present.:.- —- Messrs. Buret (chairman), B. Tonka, E. Wayte, J. T. McKelvie and lurk. The minutes of the previous meeting having been read and confirmed, the Secretary stated that £;.U0 had been received from the Provincial Government on account of game licenses, being the first instalment. The estimated gross amount as about £600. Letters were read from Air. W. K. Graham

" The Chairman called the attention of the meeting to the necessity of appointing rangers to protect the interests of the Society. It was decided that as the subject was one of importance, it should be brought forward when all the members were present.
Several pteseniatious were then announced by the Secretary and the meeting separated.
