Evening; Stab Office,

Friday afternoon,

Messrs. E. and H. Isaacs held an extensive salp, to-day, of drapery, boots, clothing, &c. There was a good attendance of the trade, but with little inclination to purchase, and although a large parcel of goods changed hands, yet the prices were anything but satisfactory to the importers. Messrs. C. Arthur & Son sold by auction this morning a consignment of fruit, from Sydney, at the following prices : —Apples, 3d per lb.; pineapples, 3s 3d per dozen ; oranges, 6s 6d per case ; potatoes, 40s to 50s.
