SHIPPING.

There hare been no arrivals or departures

to-day. Captain J. B. Francis, formerly in the employ of ibo New Zealand Steam Navigation Company, has been appointed master of the barque Albert Victor, a new vessel recently arrived at Melbourne from London.

There was no appearance of the s.s. City of Melbourne from Honolulu when we went to press. The s.s. Star of the South will take her departure for Napier on Saturday next. The F. 9. Hero came alongside yesterday, having received permission to discharge her kerosene on the wharf. This fine steamer will leave for Sydney and Melbourne on Tuesday next.

The fine barque Huasquina haiiled alongside, astern of the Isuiay, yesterday, and will commence to load for London.
