James Burns, A. J. Nicholas, and B. Halloran for this offence were fined ss. and costs, or to be imprisoned 24 hours with hard labour. For second offences, J. Sergeant and J. ! Purdie wore fined 10s. and costs, or to be imprisoned 48 hours with, hard labour. For third offences, Mary Burke and J. Tackbury were fined 203. and costs, or to bo imprisoned for the same term. MUNICIPAL POLICE ACT. E. Heskoth, for allowing the chimney of his detached house to get on fire on the 3rd of June, pleading guilty, was fined ss. and costs. ian?otrnr>iNe act, 1867. Annie Campbell was charged with allowing four goats to go astray in Drake-street, on 2nd June. It appeared she had been charged with a similar offence, but the case was not pressed, in January. Fined ss. and costs. Archibald Campbell was charged with allowing one goat to go astray in Drake-street, on 2nd June.
Having be«n fined 10s. for a simlar offence in January, he was now fined 15s. and costs. The Court then rose.
