ORPHAN HOME.
The entertainment to night in the n't* Hall is to be for the benefit of this « dellent institution. It is of a miscelh neous kiud, and given by the Aucklat-i Literary Society, assisted by several oth« ladies and gentlemen. The performance will be undor th patronage of tbe Governor, Lady Bower Lady Martin, and his Honor the Sud_' intendent, who will occupy the chair The programme (for particulars of which we refer our readers to the advertisement! will consist of instrumental music, glees songs, readings, recitations, _c, and will conclude with the atnusinpr farce of " J_f« Brittle Pipkins." The Volunteer Band will play several selections of popular music, and we have no doubt the whole affair will be very successful. Coniidering the charitable object of the entertainment. We hope to see the hall filled in every part.
