Evening Star Office, Thursday afternoon
There was a very numerous attendance at the sale of damaged tobacco, vestas, &0., at the stores of Messrs. E. and H. Isaacs, to-day. The goods were sold on account of whom ifc might concern, and the prices were equal to expectation. Messrs. S. Cochrane and Pon disposed of a very choice selection of South Sea Island curios this morning, at their auction, at very satisfactory prices. The whole of the plant and workings of the Auckland Consolidated Gold Mining Company were sold by Mr. S. Jones this morning at his mart, for £71. The schooner Fairy was sold this morning by Mr..Gr. W. Binney for the sum of £300.
