Nash V. Bkassey.—lnterpleader summons. In this case judgment had been obtained against Mr. Brassey, and the effects had been seized under a. warraut of distress. Mr. Lewisson, of Auckland, claimed to have possession of the goods under a bill of sale dijly registered. Mr. Lewisson had paid out the bailiff, and the proceeds were impounded, subject to proof of the said bill of sale, and he now claimed to have the amount returned to liim. —F. H. Lewisson deposed : That the biil of sale was duly executed.—Constable Negus executed the warrant of distress on Major Brassey's goods, and produced a schedule of the goods seized. This inventory included many other articles, than are mentioned under the bill of sale, and Mr. Nash claimed the amount due to him on the surplus goods.—The Court, in giving judgment, said that the sckedule of the bill of sale' specified certain articles. All other effects beyOnd this list were liableto seizure by the bailiff. The money in Court would' therefore be paid over to plaintiff.

Williamson v. Ltjndon & Whitaker.— Claim £15 17s. —J. Lundon admitted the claim, which was for board and lodging of some Maoris engaged as witnesses in the Native Lands Court, and plaintiff ought to have received her money from the lawyer engaged in that case.
