EXTRAORDINARY BEQUEST TO THE MARQUIS OF BUTE.
The late Mr. W. E. Williams, of Pwllypant House, Caerphilly, Glamorganshire, has left the whole of his property, estimated at £200,000, to the Marquis of Bate. The will was prepared by Mr. Llewellin, solicitor, Newport, and executed about three years ago. Mr. Llewellin, it appears, suggested to the deceased gentlemen the advisability of not passing by his own connections; but his directions were imperative, and he would permit no deviation from the instructions given. He bad one sister and three half-brothers, with all of whom he was on friendly terms, and hence the motive for disposing of his property in such an extraordinary manner appears to be more inexplicable than was at first anticipated. The Marquis of Bute was at Rome, attending the GSeuir.enical Council when he received the intelligence of this further addition to his already enormous fortune.
