POLICE COURT.—This Day.

(Before T. Beckham, Esq., R.M.) DRUNKENNESS. John Kerr, charged with drunkenness, was fined 5s and costs, or to be imprisoned for 48 hour 3. Thomas Brown, Margaret McCann, and Maiy Burke, charged with being drunk and disorderly, were sentenced to a fine of 20s and costs, or to be imprisoned 48 hours. OBSCENE EANGFAGE. Margaret McCann was again charged with a breach of the Municipal Police Act in using obscene language. James Murphy deposed : I am a detective ; was on duty yesterday in Barrack-street; and heard her use most filthy language. George Jeffrey deposed, heard the prisoner use the obscene language complained of. Sentenced to be imprisoned 14 days with hard labor. BREACH OF VAGRANT ACT. Anne Poulgrain was charged with a breach of the above Act in exposing her person in a public thoroughfare. Pleaded guilty, aud was sentenced to be imprisoned for three months' and to be kept to hard labor. Bridget Hawkey, charged with having no lawful means of uupport on the 15th April, pleaded guilty. Mr. Naughton stated that she had been charged at least twenty times, and now came voluntarily and gave herself up to the police. Sentenced to two months' imprisonment with hard labour.' LARCENY. Catherine Douglas was charged with stealing two books from Mr. E. Hesketh, value 15s.

M\ Naughton stated that' she had been twelve times already committed.. Plssded gui'ty, and was sentenced to three monf*s' imprisonment with hardlabour. I CARD SHARPING. .'" '?; Jsrn Green and Matthew. Nelsbn was chared with playing an unlawful game, with cards on board the Duke of Edinburghyesterday.and thereby robbing Adam* Jas. Smith andWi Patene of £29. .: --- 7 Ht. Brookfield appeared for the prosecution, and showed this to be-an-indictable offence. jr. Joy and Mr. Bennet for the prisoners pletded guilty. - Ordered to give security in their personal boids, each for £100, to keep the peace,-for sixi-onths. The money being already in the haids of the Commissioner of Police, was ordered to be handed over to the persons who hadbeen cheated of it, and the prisoners to pay all osts. PERSONATION. lobert Boulton, arrested on warrant, was cha-ged with personating, at the election of Superintendent, one Thomas Fitzgerald, tha-eby committing a breach of the Regulation of Elections Act of 1858. Ur. Naughton stated that it having been fovnd the prisoner had been led into it by otlers more guilty, the prosecution had withdawn the charge, and the Bench, after adnonishing in suitable terms, discharged the pr.soner. The Court then rose.
