Mr. Or. W. Binney sold by auction to-day a tierce of North Wiltshire cheese, at Is 6d ; Canterbury (good) was sold at 7id. Messrs. C. Arthur & Son 'sold by auction a large quantity of drapery goods at good prices. Mr. S. Jones.held a large sale of groceries at'his mart to-day. A large number of the trade attended, and the following prices were obtained for goods in bond : —Assorted pickles, 8s 3d ; walnut ditto, 8s ; tobacco, Buchanan's, 9d ; tobacco, 12's, McAvoy's, 9id,; fine white crystals, 4 3-16 dto 43 ; yellow ditto, 3 7-8 d ; soap, 21s; rice, 2d ;W. I. arrowroot; C. and B. ketchup, 8s; Lea & Perrin sauces, 13s; sago, 2jd i plaid veatas, 16s 6d; B. and B. ditto, 250's, 183 ; light blue, 71b. boxes, 8d ; jams, 6s 9d ; Morton's jar salt, 5s ; pipes, 5s ; Hill & Ledger's pickles, 9s 3d to 9s 4d ; coarse salfc; £3 ; tapioca, sd.
