The p.s. Duke of Edinburgh arid■ Lady Bowen will sail for the Thames at 10 o'clock. There is no steamer leaving for the Thames to-morrow morning; the Duke will leave at half-past ten to-morrow evening. The steamer Tauranga is expected back from Tauranga- to-morrow morning. The schooner Strathnaver returned from Cabbage Bay this morning with 20,000 feet timber. She will fill up with general cargo and sail for the Fijis in a few clays. The 9.5. Keera took her departure from the Mannkau ftv Wanganui this afternoon. The barque P.C.E., 291 tons, Captain Sampson, cleared at the Customs this morning for Newcastle, and wi\l in all probability take her departure this evening. The clipper barque Novelty will leave for Sydney on Saturday. i The s.s. Stormbird left the Manukau yesterday morning for Taranaki.and. the South, with a quantity of general cargo* Passengers : —Mr. and Miss Durie, Mr. O'Brien. The brigantine Prosperity struck on a sand bank at Hokitika, on the Ist instant, but was subsequently towed off and taken tip to the wharf. i, ; ' The Colonial Government p.s. Sturtis hourly expected from the East Coast. Luna.—We are informed that this fine steamer will be ready for sea either on Saturday or Monday next. A false bottom ha 3 been cast and fixed for the cylinder by Messrs. Eraser and Tinne, and the work is said to have been done in a most creditable manner.
