AUCKLAND HORTICULTURAL SOCIETY.
A meeting of the committee and other sup porters of the above society was heldi'lafefci eveniug at the Museum, Princes-street, Thos. Macfarlane, Esq., in the chair. The minutes of the last meeting were read and confirmed. A few l'sts containing the names of intending' subscribers were handed in, but owing to the canvass for members not having been completed,' I thß election of office bearers was postponed I until a future meeting. It was the opinion^ of the majority of those present that to inak^:j the society successful, it should have the couri-> tenance and support of the leading men pi' Auckland, from whom a general committee.! might be formed, in addition to an executive t of practical men. In order to obtain the i, desired aid, the meeting was adjourned unnl;) Wednesday evening, the 27th instant.
