(Before G. M. Mitfprd, EBq., and M. D, Morpeth, Esq., J.P.'s.) Drunkenness.

James Parr and Annie MarshaU being severally charged with this offence, and not appearing, the bail in each case was forfeited. Onihire (a native woman), charged with the same offence, was sentenced to a fine of 5s and costs or 24 hours' imprisonment. Agnes Cowell, a second time charged with the same offence was sentenced to a fine of 10s and costs or to be imprisoned 48 hours. LIBEL. James DeHirsch was charged on the complaint of F. A. Whitaker with the publication of certain malicious libels relative to the lands at Kaueranga in the Thames Advertiser newspaper. By arguement of counsel the case was adjourned to Wednesday, 20th AprU. The Coßrt then rose.
