LATEST SOUTHERN TELEGRAMS
The s.s. Storm Bird arrived in the Manukau this morning. We take the following from papers received: — Wellington-, March 21. Major Brown, oi.e of the members for Tarauaki, has resigned his seat in the General Assembly. A deputation from the commitlee appointed at tbeTricker meeting, held a few days ago, hud an interview with the Government to-day, on the subject of Tricker's imprisonment. Mr. Gishorne promised he would give a reply on the return of Mr. Fox from Auckland.
