Sir, —Surely it is not true that our County Chairman has ignored local representation and pledged himself to support a candidate whoso every interest is centred in another part of Canterbury ? Bumour cays that not only the County Chairman, but one other member of the Council have pledged themselves to support ■ Mr J. L. Coster as the representative of Akaroa upon theLyttelton Harbor Board. Now Sir, it is
toatent to every one that Mr J. L. Coster holds one of Hie highest possible positions in two or three of fhejargest commercial companies in Zfealand, and that in Canterbury Lyllellon m the great shipping port,..or I inigbVeay the Jnlyone.of any importance, and that it hnsi ile fair share of representation.
