LITTLE AKALOA SCHOOL.
To the Editor.
Sir, —We, the undersigned members of the School Committee and parents of Little Akaloa, teel in duty bound to protest against the way that Mr Cox is abusing Mr J. Hjnter in your columns. We are all aware of all the circumstances in dispute, and we fully endorse Mr Hunter's facts. In respect of the attendance of Mr Hunter's children, stated hy Mr Cox to be most exceptionally irregular, we find by reference to Mr Cox's own figures that J. A. Hunter has the highest attendance in his Btandard, Ernest Hunter highest in his, Herbet Hunter thirteen from lowest, and David Hunter fifth from lowest in his standard. This we think sufficient to show the public that it is Mr Cox who would be all the better for a little culture in the truth. (Signed) A Waghorn, Jun., (Chairman), R. Gr. Rix, George Rix, C. Marshall, George Ashton, A. H. Mcintosh, Henry Bennett, William Jonson, A. Waghorn. Sen., G. T. Bennett, Robert Shuttleworth, J. W. Wells, Henry A. Rutter, W. Ashton, D. Waghorn, Sen.
