The Hawea left Port Chalmers at 4 p.m. on 11th inst., and arrived at 530 a.m. next day, making the journey in the sshort time of 13£ hours. After discharging 42 •tons and loading 15 tons, she left for the ■north at 7 40 a.m. some day.
The s.fi. Wnnaka lpft Wellington with 'the Frisco mail at 630 p.m. on Wednesday, reached Lyttellon at 1.45 p.m. yesterday, loaded 45 tons cargo for this port, and arrived at 10.15 p.m., after a pleasant Rmooth water passage. She loaded 20 tons, and sailed at 2 a.m. this morning.
