CONTRADICTION.

To the.Editor.

Sir, —In your issue of the sth inst reporting the meeting of the Akaroa and VVainui Road Board, I notice tbat one of my mates, T. O'Gorman, makes a statement that he has been unable to receive his share of the payments made by the Board. The facta are quite tho reverse. O'Gorman received the largest share of the payments of any of the partners on the job. The accounts of the partnership were made up by Mr A. I. McGregor in the presence of O'Gorman, who quite admitted their correctness, and from which it appears that O'Gorman received a larger share of the cash than any other of tho partners.—Yours, etc., S. CURRAGH.
