The President said that the principal reason of their ln-ing culle I together w*e to decide whether they should postpone the proposed Agricultural and Pastoral Show for this year, and give eupport to the Aknroti Exhibition, to bo held on New Year's Day. It would be for the meeting to express an opinion on thin subject ; and also as to what prizes should be awarded. It was necessary these things should be done at once as time was passing away. Correspondence regarding the site would be laid before them.

''Gentleman, —In answer to your letter, lam willing to hold o^er the show Bite til! He terms of lease—l am willing to accept your offer of £10 per annum for two acres and half of land for ten years, starting from either dates I have mentioned above.—Yours, etc , " 10. SIIADBOLT."

The President aaid that if the chow were deferred he should like the lease to start from the 2nd of January, as if they should arrange to hold their shows on New Year's D«y it would give them another year. He kn«w this was looking a way ahead, but it was their duty to do so.

Mr Cheekley said he had much pleasure in moving : " That there he no Agricultural and Pa-torai Show held this season." They all knew hia opinion, that it was fetter to wait for another year and construct the yards out of their own money than to put them up at once am) incur a largo debt. He thought they might fairly calculate on about 150 members, "itid that at £1 a yeir eioh, would go far towards the erection nf the yards in two yours.

Mr .John Curry sei-omle 1 the nso'ntion. Mr Kingston thoutflit the yards should be erected, a« Mr McGregor had offered to pay a rent of 10 per cent on the coHt of construction for using them for his auction sales.

The President said that new members w< r.- j.tilling every meeting, and money accruing to the clun toward* the erection of the yards. He thought it wise to po~tpone the show till aimtier year, and do their b'-st to m ke the Akaioa Exhibition a success.

The President said that at tho last meeting they had all agreed it was the best thing to strongly support the Exhibition if they could not have an Agricultural and Pastoral ohow of their own this season; he should like to her some delinite motion brought forward on the subject. Mr W. Curry then moved :•'That a »üb-comuiittee, consisting of the PresW dent, Vice-president, and Messm Sandys,, McGregor, and Jiicobeon, prepare a ache-

This was seconded by Mr Odell and enrried. Mr Garwood then pointed out that it would be wise to insert an advertisement, asking for as to what prizes should be offered. He moved: '-'Ihatit be an instruction to the committee appointed to advertise in the Mail, asking for MigireHtiona as to what prizes ehould be offered Ly the Club. 1, This was unanimously agreed to, several speakers pointing out that it was not only dairy produce tl>e club wanted to encourage, but new industries like serieiculture, and in fact anything that iielped to benefit the district. TIIK Cl.l'B SEAL. The Secretary stated that the club Real would cost 255. He was instructed to ■procure it as speedily as possible. THE KVLKS. The Secretary further laid on the table the printed rules of tfee society. It was remarked that in rule three it was stated that nominations of members Lad lo.be posded in tlie cliil> room not leee ' ihnn se\eii days before their election, as there was as yet no club room, where were the natnee of intending members to be posted ? Mr Jacobson thought the difficulty snight be got over by considering the Aknroa and Wainui Road Board office, at the Head of the Bay, as their club room "till they had a place of their own. If 4he Koad Board would kindly grant them permission this would answer perfectly, as it was Mr Berwick's office. He moved : "'Thnt with the consent of the Akaroa and Wainui Rond Board, their office ehould *be considered the clv" room." Seconded by Mr M<<xregor and carried. NEW MEMBERS. Messrs Robert Zu hariab Davis. George Breitmeyer, H. D. Buchanan, H. Kingston, and J. P. M illins were nominated as anembers of the club.
