Any present trustee may transfer the management of trust property to the Public Trustee, who will thereupon hold such property upon the original trusts attaching thereto. Any person, company, association, or public body within or without the colony, may place any property belonging to them in charge of the Public Trustee upon trust for such uses as may be defined in the deed creating the trust. Any building, land, or friendly society may, by its rules, provide that property belonging to it may be placed in the Public Trust Office, for such trusts and uses and with such [lowers as may be defined in or by the said rules. The advantages offered are :— Ist. State Guauanten against peculation, fraud, or dishonesty. 2nd. All proposed investments are considered by a Board, consisting of the Honorable Colonial Treasurer, the Attorney General, the Comptroller and Auditor General, the Government Insurance Commissioner, and the Public Trustee. Careful consideration of all securities offered it is therefore insured. 3rd. The Public Trustee, in his corporate capacity, nevru dies, never leaves the country, and never becomes incapacitated, thus avoiding tlie many inconveniences resulting from frequent fresh appointments of Trustees, necessitated by death, change of abode, or mental or bodily infirmity. 4th. Punctuality and promptitude in the remittance of periodical payments to beneficiaries under trust or will to any part of the colony or elsewhere at which it may be desired that payment should be made. 5 th. The effective check which is called in 1 /) operation before any moneys can be paid from the Public Trustee's account. 6th. Reasonable charges : On estates such as are iioav being considered the Public Trustee is authorised to charge 11 per cent, on all recepts, and 1-i- per cent, on disbursments, .- nd 5s per cent, on all moneys invested. No charge is made for obtaining probate, nor for passing stamp and property tax returns, nor for correspondence, however voluminous.
