CHEESE.

To the Editor.

Sir, —Having noticed a local in your paper of the 15tn inst., to the effect that I had sold my cheese tp Mr W. H. Henning, I beg leave to inform your readers that I have not done so. Mr Henning called upon me, examined my cheese, and expressed his satisfaction with its quality. He effected a sale with me a few days after, and I delivered the cheese at his store. When the cheese was all weighed but one load, he said iie did not know where he would make his money, and asked me to take 2d per lb off twenty 161b cheeses. I refused to do so, and be then said he could not lake their, but, after some conversation, be agreed to do so, and desired tne to call on the following day to see them weighed. I called on him for this purpose, when bo said be had been thinking the matter over, and be could not see where he was going to make his money, and consequently could not take them. I expressed astonishment at his statement, and insisted upon his fulfilling his bargain, but he said he could not take them, but would pay cost of carting, if I could sell them. I took the cheese elsewhere, and sold it at and no complaints of any kind were made.—-Yours, etc.,

WILLIAM CURRY. Long Bay road, August 24,1882.
