bitants are raising funds for the assist ance of Arabi. In consequence of the water supply in Alexandria running short the allowance to the inhabitants is restricted. Greece will give its decision to the Conference to-morrow. August 11, 4.25 p.m, The Duke of Connaught is inspecting the fortifications and places of interest. Prince Teck has arrived at Alexandria. The postmaster at Philadelphia has forwarded 800 dollars to Arabi. August 11, 7.20 a.m. Tho Duke of Connaught has paid a visit to the Khedive, and re-assured him as te the intentions of England. An inquiry into the effect of the bombarding of Alexandria is sitting. An American man of-war is expected at Alexandria in a few days. Eight of tho wounded in tbe recent engagement have died of their wounds. It is reported tbat the natives of Tripoli are menacing the safety of the European inhabitants.
