The plaintiff is a young , lady engaged 88 shop assistant in Wellington, and the defendant is a Government official. Mr E. Shaw has been retained for the plaintiff, and Mr Gordon Allan for the defendant. The issues were settled yesterday before Mr Justice Richmond, and it is stated that something like seventy love letters written by the defendant to the plaintiff are to be produced in evidence. The amount claimed as damages is £300.
