Melbourne, August 3. DELAY IN TELEGRAMS. The telegraph service with Europe at present is subject to considerable delay along the Teheran route, and great irregularity exists in the time occupied in the transmission of messages. These, although despatched from London at regular intervals, now generally arrive here in batches. THE JEWELLERY BURGLARY. The trial of the men who were arrested on a cha go of burglary at Avenski's jewellery shop, in Lonsdale street, was concluded yesterday, but the jury were unable to agree upon the verdict. NAVAL RESERVE. Harmony has been restored in the Naval Reserve, and the men who withdrew from that force are now rejoining.
