Alexandria, July 81. It has transpired that Admiral Seymour has abandoned the proposed bombardment of iiboukir by the British ironclads. Intelligence is to hand from Ismalia, in tho Suez Canal, that a lanjo force of h:.s been landed there from H.M. troopship Orontes. August 1. The Khedive has sent a communication to Admiral Seymour authorising tiiti occupation ot the Uuez Canal by the English forces. All the French war vessels which have boon stationed hero and at other ian ports are now leaving. Constantinople August- 1. The Conference of European ambassadors, which decided to terminate its proceedings on the 31st ult. in consequence ot tho declaration of the Russian plenipotentiary that lie would only attend its meetings i'or tho purpose of discussing the question of the neutrality of the Suez Caual, resumed its sittings to-day.
The Russian plenipotentiary, it has tranpired. has received fresh instructions from the Russian Government to rejoin the Conference and participate in its proceedings. It is understood that the Porte has now definitely .decided to despatch a body of troops to Egypt, notwithstanding the statement that this course could only be adopted provided the British troops were withdrawn. Five thousand troops are under orders to embark tomorrow. Dervish Pasha will accompany the expedition. LATEST FROM THE SEAT OF WAR. Constantinople, August 2. The Porte, in its reply to a communication of the Powers, states that it can only proclaim Arabi a rebel after the Turkish troops have landed in Egypt. The English Ambassador has notified to-the Porte that the English Government requires that the Turkish troops sent to Egypt should bo subject to the orders of Sir Garnet Wolseley.
