OKAIN'S BAY ROAD BOARD.
A meeting of this Board was held on Saturday, the 24th inst. Present—Messrs Thacker (Chairman), H. Bennett, T. Oldridge, J. B. Barker, and W. Thacker. MINUTES. The minutes and accounts of the previous meeting were read and confirmed. CORRESPONDENCE. The outward correspondence was read, and inward do as follows :— From Little River Road Board, covering resolutions passed at a meeting of that Board on. June 5. From County Council re public pound for Little Akaloo. The Secretary was instructed to inform he petitioners for the pound, that the Board recognized the justice of their claim, lutt that at present no funds were available. From Mr P. Cnllnghnn, asldntr for repairs to by-road leading to his liuii^e. The Boaid could not entertain this re"qwH. From snme, asking the Board to cnil fipon Mr Thacker to remove a fence causing fin obstruction to runri near liih house. m The Clerk was instructed to wiite to Mr Thacker requiring him to remove the .■flame. From certain ratepayers in Lβ Bon's, asking the Board to clear out Carriage roiid. Oldridge waft authorised to invite tenders for this work. LAVE RICK'S ROAD. A tender from Mr B. Jargensen, for repairs to Laverick'a road, for £4 10s, was accepted. THE JETTY DUES. It was resolved that the balance of the Lβ Bon's jetty dues lately received, after paying wharfinger's account, be paid to MSssrs Williams and Deacon. AKALOA JETTY OIU NE. Mr Bennett reported that he had made enquiries re purchase of a crane for Little Akiiloa jetty, and found that a suitable one could be obtained for £10. Mr Bennett was authorised to procure the same and have it erected. REPAIRS TO ROADS. Resolved that tenders be invited for -repairs to OkaiVs Main Valley road, Stony Bay road, and Le Bon's Main y alley road. ACCOUNTS. The following accounts were passed for -payment, and the meeting adjourned :—,L T. Knight £4 10s, Knight and Jansen, £13, Bendt. Jargensen £21, R. Shuttleworth £1 ss, K. Wnghorn £4 4a.
