Any present trustee may transfer the management of trust property to the Public Trustee,, who will thereupon hold such property upon the original trusts attaching thereto. Any person, company, association, or public body within or without the colony, may place any property belonging to them in charge of the Pub'itTrustee upon trust for such uses as may he defined in tho deed creating thetru-4. Any building, land, or frieiAiy society may, by its rules, provide that property belonging to it may he phuv-'i in the Public Trust Office, for such trusts and uses and with such powers as may be defined in or by the said rules. The advantages offered are :— Ist. State Guarantee against peculation, fraud, or dishonesty. 2nd. All proposed investments are considered by a Board, consisting of the Honorable Colonial Treasurer, the Attorney General, the Comptroller and Auditor General, the Government Insurance Commissioner, and the Public Trustee. Careful consideration of all securities offered it is therefore insured. 3rd. The Public Trustee, in his corporate capacity, never dies, never leaves the country, and never becomes incapacitated, thus avoiding the many inconveniences resulting from frequent fresh appointments of Trustees' necessitated by death, change of abode, or mental or bodily infirmity. 4th. Punctuality and promptitude in the remittance of periodical payments to beneficiaries under trust or will to any part of the colony or elsewhere at which t may be desired that payment should be made. sth. Reasonable charges : On estates such as are now being considered the Public Ti ustc*e is authorised to charge 1-i per cent, on all recepts, and l-l- per cent, on disbursments, and 5s per cent, on all moneys invested. No charge is made for obtaining probate, nor for passing stamp and property tax returns, nor for I correspondence, however voluminous.
