The Khedive has commenced the sentence of Gail, recently passed upon 34 Circassian officers for conspiracy to assassinate Arabi Pasha. His Highness has taken the step in spite of the opposition of his ministeis, who it is believed are seeking to depose him. The situation is critical, and it is reported that foreign consuls resident there have summoned the ironclads of their countries, now in the Mediterranean, to Alexandria, in view of possible complications.
