TTIHE Company has confidence in direct_L me; the attention of its Friends to ■the following Leading Features of its administration of this Department of its Business: — It does not purchaseon its own account, but acts solely as agent, so that it has no speculative interest in the produce which handles. It employs an expert and trustworthy staff to supervise and control sales in London and elsewhere, a most important element, which the grower would do well to note. It supplies shippers with particulars of the prices obtained immediately sales are effected, promptly followed by OBIGINAL account sales and remittances. The volume of the Company > usiness in London, and its well-assuied position, has enabled it to conclude most advantageous arrangement", involving considerable reductions in Landing, Granary, and Sale Charges, OF WHICH SHIPPERS RECEIVE THE FULL BENEFIT. Recognising that Growers naturally desire to receive returns of their own produce, the utmost precautions are taken, and have hitherto been eminently successful, in keeping every interest distinct, and in bulking and classifying the grain, with proper regard to quality, condition, and demand. SHIPPING AND FREIGHTS. Arrangements have been concluded with the New Zealand Shipping Company for a supply of first-class iron ships, at Fifty •Shillings per ton of 22401b, to London and the United Kingdom, and our friends are confidently referred to the list of highclass vessels now advertised in the daily papers (under their flnj*. Where desired, arrangements can also be made for tonnage for Continental ports. STORAGE FACILITIES. In response to the expressed wish of numerous valued constituents, spacious and well-constructed warehouses are being •provided at ASHBURTON and CHERTSEY, With a view to obviate the delays and extinguish the serious risk of damage by exposure at -these important points. The above Stores will shortly be ready for the reception of Grain, and in order that our friends may themselves of the facilities thus afforded, a low scale of charges has been adopted. Only nominal Storage Rates will he •charged on Grain intended for shipment or local sale through the Company. Perceiving the importance of the ASHBURTON AND ELLESMERE DISTRICTS, And the claims constituents have upon the Company for proper representation there, it has this season opened up Agencies at ASHBURTON, under the management of MR WALTER B. MOSS, And at SOUTHBRIDGE and LEESTON, under direction of MR E. G. STAVELEY, Who will supply detailed information to farmers and others desirous of entrusting their business to the Company. The Company further desires to draw the attention of FARMERS, MILLERS, AND BROKERS TO THE AUCTION SALES OF ■GRAIN, &c, Which it intends to conduct THIS SEASON at its CHRIBTCHURCI-I WAREHOUSES, thus affording growers an opportunity of securing by competition the Fullest Market Rates for their CROPS. Its COMMISSION on this Business will be 2£ PERCENT on ALL SALES EFFECTED, but No Charge will be made on lots not reaching owners' reserves, For the convenience of Clients, the Company keeps a Large Stock of WOOLPACKS, CORNSACKS, AND TWINE on hand, which it supplies at the Lowest Market Rates. THE [COMPANY HOLDS WEEKLY SALES OF WOOL, SHEEPSKINS, HIDES, & FAT for which Highest Market Rates are invariably secured, and account sales rendered with promptitude. LIBERAL CASH ADVANCES effected on Freeholds, on Stations and Stock, and en Growing Crops and Clips of Wool. INDENTS undertaken of British.
