I HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that, at the Poll of Ratepayers of the above-named Licensing District taken this 13th day of April, 1882, for the purpose of determining whether the number of Publicans' or New Zealand Wine Licenses may or may not respectively be increased, the voting was as follows :— IN RESPECT OF PUBLICANS' LICENSES. That the number of Licenses may bo increased 5 That the number of Licenses may not bo increased 3 IN KESPECT OF NEW ZEALAND WINE LICENSES. That the number of Licenses may be increased 3 That the number of Licenses may not be increased 4 I therefore declare that the proposal that the number of Publicans' Licenses may be increased has been carried, and that the proposal that the number of New Zealand Wine Licenses may be increased has been rejected. Humbly sheweth— That it is undesirable to be rated by both the Road Board and County Council.
That, for various obvious reasons, it is expedient that the Akaroa and Wainui Road Board should be abolished, and the said Road District merged into the County.
