The Amateur left Lyttelton on Friday, 31t nit., put in at Okain's (windbound), and arrived here on Saturday. The Capt. reports sighting the schooner Kate McGregor off the East Heads. The Amateur left for Barry's Bay and Robinson's Bay to load grass seed and will probably 'aail for Lyttleton to-morrow.

The Wanaka left Port Chalmers at 2.30 p.m. on Monday, experienced strong southerly winds and heavy sea on her trip up. She arrived in Akaroa at 5.30 a.m. and brought nearly 40 tons of cargo. She sailed for Lyttelton at 8.30 a.m. on Tuesday.

The topsail schooner Mary Ogilive left Groymciith on Mnrch 24 bound for L'unedin with'a cargo of coal. She put in here on Tuesday windbound. The Captain reports light winds and calui6 on tier trip from the West Coast.

The Haweu arrived from Lyttelton at 7.30 p.m. yesterday. She brought the Ban Francisco mail arid nailed again for tho South at- 8.30 p.m.
