All that piece or parcel of land, containing by admeasurements acres 1 rood 17 perches, more or leas, situate in the Survey District of Pigeon Bay, Provincial District of Canterbury, being that portion of the public road one chain wide, bounded towards north-west by a line in continuation of the south-east boundary of section 12474, towards the north-east by sections 11283, 1597, and 187, towards the south-east by a line at right angles to north-eastern boundary of section 071, drawn from a 74 point thereon 2 chains north-west of the northeast corner of sections 7665, 14107, 8997, and 12335, as delineated on plan at the Office of the Board, and colored green thereon. 2nd. Description of Road to be given in exchange by Benjamin Shadbolt for the above Road No. 1. All that piece or parcel of land, portions of rural sections Nos. 1007 and 1653, situate in the Survey District of Pigeon Bay, Provincial District of Canterbury, containing by admeasurement 3 roods and 12 perches, more or less, being a strip of land 50 links wide, extending from the south-east boundary of section 12474 to Pawson's Valley Road, the centre line of said strip of land commencing at a point on the south-eastern boundary of the latter section situate 59,8 links from the southeastern corner thereof, thence southeasterly 145 deg 46 mm 44 links, 124 deg 14 mm 190 links, 131 deg 50 mm 76 links, 150 deg 12 mm 86 links, thence south-westerly 193 deg 1 mm 172 links, 208 deg 27 mm 142£ links, 247 deg 11 mm 111 links, 209 deg 35 mm 69 links, 185 deg 148 links, thence southeasterly 161 deg 2 mm 124£ links, thence south-westerly 188 deg 32 mm 130.6 links, thence south-easterly 178 deg 13 mm 188 links, 124 deg 44 mm 171.2 links, as delineated on plan at the Office of the Board, and colored brown thereon. 3rd. Description of Public Road to be closed, running between sections 12790 and 11281, Pawson's Valley, Berard Riding, County of Akaroa. All that piece of land, being a public road ruining between sections 11490. 12790, and 11281, containing 2 acres 0 roods 21 perches, situate in Pawson's Valley, Berard Riding, County of Akaroa, Banks Peninsula, Provincial District of Canterbury, and commencing at the eastern corner of section 11490, and proceeding northerly (all bearings on true meridian), and bounded on the west by the lines bearing 350 deg 26 mm 710 links, and 338 deg 33 mm 836.4 links, and by section 12790 ; on •the south by a line bearing 252 dep; 43 mm 89.5 links, and by section 12790 ; again on the west by a line bearing 2 deg 15 mm 203 links, and by the public road ; on the east by a line bearing 164 deg 19 mm 92 links, and by section 11281 ; on the north by a line bearing 72 deg 48 mm 117.5 links, and by section 11281 ; on the east and south-east by three lines of the following bearings and distances : —l5B deg S3 mm 939.6 links, 170 deg 26 mm 763.1 links, 219 deg 43 mm 534.2 links, and by section 11281 ; again on the west by line bearing 17 deg 12 mm 260.6 links, and by the public road ; on the north-west by a line bearing 39 deg 43 mm 246 links, and by section 11490, to the starting point, colored pink on plan. 4th. Description of Ground to be given in exchange by Benjamin Shadbolt for the piece No. 3 above described.
