LITTLE RIVER.
Saturday, March 4.
Before Justin Aylmer, Esq., R.M.
Regina v. Malmanche, Haslar, and Widdicombe. A charge of creating a disturbance in a licensed house. Owing to the illness of a member of one of the witnesses' family this case was adjourned till Saturday 25th March, next court day. Mrs Billy v. Mrs Beaton (Maoris). A case of assault. This being a neighbors quarrel and a good deal to be said on both sides, the case was dismissed. G. Robinson v. Kemp (Maoris). This case was adjourned from a previous Court day-— a claim for £10 8s 6d—to allow parties to settle it out of Court. This they were unable to arrange, and judgment was given for amount claimed and costs or the property (furniture) restored. The Court then adjourned.
