(Special to the Mail.; Christchurch, February 13. The progress of the Exhibition building is being retarded by the non-arrival of timber. A young man named Burton Pyc, son of Thomas Pye, gasfittcr, of High street, was found dead this afternoon in his father's shop. A bottle of solution of bronze was beside him, and it ia supposed he had taken the contents and died of the effects of the poison. Deceased has a married sister residing in Port Levy. Several members of the famous Austrian Band, which recently visited Australia, have been engaged to play at the coming Exhibition. A range of stables was burnt last night at Nelson during church hours. They were only insured for £150.
