GERMAN BAY SCHOOL.

To the Editor,

Sir, —My attention has been" drawn to the report of tho German Bay School Committee, as printed in your issue of the 27th. Who it was that furnished you with the report I know not. It surely could not have been done by any person who was present. In the first place, there was no report read, and consequently that could not bo jidopted. In the second place, there was no balance-sheet presented, but in its absence the books were, and it was found that the bank book and the book as audited did not agree. In consequence of this the Committee would neither approve or adopt it. The chairman was asked to get his books adjusted, so that the Committee couid sco the amount of ita in- j dobtednesa, and to hand them to Mr W. Jacobson I'or the purpose of re-audit, and to pret-ent them at the next meeting of the Committee for their approval. My reason for taking this mutter up i*, that the householders, who were conspicuous by their absence at tho last eleelion of the School Committee, will look out, and put in an appearance ;it tho next annual meeting. And, Mr Editor, I sincerely hope that you vi'iii ujiike KfO ot'your mighty pen to show to i'v.Htji.'. -aggania whit, cowards they are not t.o uomo forward and light shoulder to shoul.ier for tho education of their oil'— •suring".—Yours etc.. L " ' E. a. CHAPPBLL.
