(By Telegiiapii.) The . following are the results of the principal races :— Yacht Race, open to all comers. Ist prize £50. Xarifa 1 Champion Sailing Race for trading vessels under 150 tons, Ist. prize N.Z.S. Co.'s Cup aud £50. Torea (schooner) ... ■ 1
Pair-oared Race in stump outriggers Ist prize a£ls. Lyttelton Rowing Club's No Name 1 Doublk Sculling Race in stump outriggers. Ist prize £15. Canterbury Rowing Club's Kea ... 1 Open Boat Sailing Race. Ist prize £20. Blanche ... ... ... ... 1 Tho Four-oared Outrigger Race had to be postponed. In the Yacht Race the Dove came in first, the Xarifa about 5 seconds behind, her bowsprit overlapping the Dove's quarter. The Dove carried away her throat halyards shortly after the start, but quickly repaired damages, and passed the Xarifa in tha run up the harbor, but was ufterwards passed by the Xarifa in the beating. The finish was most exciting, both boats being crowded with canvas. The Water Lily, formerly of Akaroa, was put in th-5 Yacht Race to make up the number, but gave up just after the start. In the Champion Sailing race, the Torea won by 47 minutes clear of time allowance. The Mary Allen was second, and the old E. U. Cameron third. The Cutty Sack and Ocean Bird also competed. In the Double sculls the C.R.C's. boat Kea, in which J. F. Grierson pulled stroke, and E. M. Boulton bow, won, the Cure Boating Club's Mokamoka being second, the Lyttelton and Union Club's boat also competed. In the open boat sailing race the Blanche won from the Good Templar by two lengths.
