N.B.—Take notice, that no ratepayer is eligible for election as a member, or has a right to vote at the present election, unless all rates due to the Board have been paid to date. Rates can be paid to tho Returning Officer at each polling booth, in the event of a contested election. LITTLE RIVER ROAD BOARD. NOTICE. rpHE ANNNAL MEETING of _I_ Ratepayers will be held at the Road Board Office on Friday, January 6th, 1882, at 12 o'clock, when Nominations of Three Members to serve on the Board will take place in room of Messrs Parkinson, Birdling, and Judge, who go out by rotation, but are eligible for re election. Should a Poll be demanded, it will be held on the following Monday, January 9th, at Tai Tapu, Little River, and the Road Board Office. Tenders are invited to do work on the road leading to Dunford's Valley, Tai Tapu. To be. lodged not later than noon on Friday, December 30th. Officer for the Akaroa and Wainui Road Board, hereby give notice that an Election for a member to fill the vacancy caused by Messrs Shadbolt and Brooks being the only candidates for the vacancies caused by the retirement of Messrs Shadbolt, Brooks, and Checkley by rotation, will be held at the Office of the said Board and also at the Council Chambers, Akaroa, and at the Old Schoolhouse Wainui, on Tuesday the 17th January 1882. Nominations of Candidates will be received up to noon on Saturday, the 7th day of January 1882.
